Adam Shorts was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Jeannie and Jeffery Shorts. Even while young, he excelled in both academics and athletics, frequently receiving acclaim for his efforts - something he continues to garner to this day in his personal and professional life. in 1991, He moved to Florida and subsequently graduated from Land O Lakes High School with honors. He then attended Seminole Community College and George Mason University. Immediately following college, He played professional baseball for the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers and three independent league teams.

In September 2004, Adam married Lisa Nunez. On January 31st, 2007 Adam and Lisa brought a baby boy into the world, Jacob Jeffery Shorts.
